Full Denim Jacket,.Pt 1

I dont collect denim jackets with nearly the same level of intensity as I do Leather jackets. However,.when i find on i like it can be just as exciting a piece of my wardrobe as any hide outer garment i cherish. Like leather jackets,.they often follow a time tested and well developed style and design and so its tricky to find one that "vibes" in a unique way.

Youll also notice that i hardly ever use the term "trucker " jacket to describe these outer garments. I have read that it was Japanese collectors , who coined the descriptive term in the 90s as a blanket way to discuss the origins of denim as a fabric worn by Blue Collar,.working class Americans. And it was eventually simplified and shortened to "trucker jacket" before Levi's adopted the phrase as a corp standard name. Transforming it from a niche phrase into one that was completely mainstream. My problem is that both my Father and two brothers either drove 16 wheel semi trucks as careers or at least for a few years,.while i served in the US Navy. and .as you're probably about to guess. None of them wore denim jackets as their preferred choice of outer garments,.LoL
