Rome, Expat Life: The Sites !

Updated: Jan 28, 2020

These past five years actually represent my second time living in Italy. Here I share some of my favorite pics of both Rome and Naples.

Expat life is a daily adventure. And this part of the blog is where I share many of the fascinating sites and delicious tastes of life here in Italia for this Texan whom loves to wander!

The Pantheon! Appears right out of nowhere in the center of Rome as your walking around an already impressive set of vintage renaissance buildings. #expat #travel

Commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus, it was completed by Emperor Hadrian ( of the famed Hadrian's Wall,.in the UK) around 127AD. #pantheon #photography

AUTHENTIC ITALIAN PIZZA!

Pizza capricciosa is a style of #pizza in Italian cuisine prepared with mozzarella cheese, Italian baked ham, mushroom, artichoke and tomato. Types of edible mushrooms used may include cremini and others. Some versions may also use prosciutto, marinated artichoke hearts, olive oil, olives, basil leaves, and egg

Roman Colosseum : Night Photo 2015

The #Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of #Rome,#Italy. Built of travertine limestone, tuff, and brick-faced concrete, it was the largest amphitheatre ever built at the time and held 50,000 to 80,000 spectators.

easily my favorite #Italian #travelphoto that I've ever taken,.especially since we're so close to #Valentinesday! #love #lovers #holiday #romance #romantic

Another one of my favorite subjects for photography is daily life! This is a beautiful young Italian girl just enjoying a quit moment to herself on the busy streets of Rome.

I think that black and white photography captures such power in a scene!

Off course Italy is as famous for its exotic cars,.as it is for its food and art! Here are a couple photos Ive taken of Ferrari's,..the automotive icon that really put Italian cars on the global map. One old and the other much more contemporary.

#Vespa is an Italian brand of #scooter manufactured by Piaggio. The name means wasp in Italian. The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. S.p.A. of Pontedera, Italy to a full line of scooters and one of seven companies today owned by Piaggio.
