I have to admit I kind of struggled a bit with the title of this blog series because there certainly are a lot of specific ideas and opinions I have on how things have changed in mens fashion over these last few decades. As well as how i think they might continue. Wether or not thats a "good" thing is subjective,.but the fact that we're a lot more casual, money conscious or sensitive to price while also being subject to the influence on online content creators has changed the playing field to a very significant degree.
The various classic American looks that emerged out of the 20th Century which were related to both collegiate education as well as the financial communities did so because they held some level of pertinence to those life styles. Therefore they held social capitol in how they represented success in the highly competitive society that is the United States of America.
However,.its no surprise that the both the business suit as well as the casual suit have nearly completely disappeared as signs of wealth, achievement and success during the dawn of the "tech" era. Instead i am championing the idea that a very few well thought-out particulars in your wardrobe can perform double duty as both "modern" style choices and also be ,.when necessary,.be assembles, like a Superhero team, into those classic style looks we all know should the need arise.
ALSO,.NOTABLE IS:
The fact that experimenting with this approach can lead to some very interesting and unexpected results concerning how your assembled "new look" communicates whatever it is you're trying to convey.
For Example
And off course, any pontifications on mens style that i make wouldnt be complete without a big shoutout to my newly favorite piece of vintage mens outerwear,..
